HFHTVA is please to announce another 82 Veterans were able to visit the memorials built to honor their service on Saturday, 28 April 2012.  The highlight of the trip was again seeing Senator Bob Dole and Senator Elizabeth Dole at the National WWII Memorial.  Due to Mr. Dole's health issues, we did not get to see the Dole's during the 2011 Honor Flight Network 'flying season', so it was a wonderful surprise to see them at the Memorial on HFHTVA Trip #7.  And for the second time, we were able to offer seats on a space-available basis to several Korean War Veterans.    

 

HFHTVA would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals who provided either in-kind or monetary donations to support our program - these trips are not possible without your extremely generous contributions. Again, thank you to all for helping us make this such a wonderful experience for our World War II Veterans!
