Thank You to all Honor Flight Participants, Volunteers, and Contributors
Posted: April 18, 2010
We here at Honor Flight Historic Triangle Virginia would like to thank all of the Veterans, Guardians, and Volunteers who came out to support our Honor Flight to Washington, DC on Saturday April 17th. The trip was an absolute success and the weather in DC was picture perfect. From the feedback we have received, it appears the Veterans and Guardians thoroughly enjoyed the trip and greatly appreciated the support of all the fantastic Volunteers that came out to show their appreciation for our Greatest Generation (Hampton Roads and Fredericksburg JROTC units and MOAA chapters, Blue Star Mothers of Fredericksburg, VFW, DAV, Colonial Heritage Residents, Langley Air Force Association Honor Guard, JCC Police, and US Park Police just to name a few). Also, we would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals who provided either in-kind or monetary donations to support our program - without your extremely generous contributions, this Honor Flight would not have been possible. Again, thank you to all for making this such a wonderful experience for our World War II Veterans!
We are now accepting Veteran and Guardian applications for the next Honor Flight currently scheduled for Saturday October 16, 2010. For those World War II and terminally ill veterans that have not yet participated in one of our Honor Flights, we hope you will consider applying by completing and sending in your signed application by either fax or mail. Applications are available for download from the "Veterans Applications" page of our website.
Please continue to keep track of our website for updates regarding future Honor Flight trips and activities. |
