Another Trip in the Books

We are please to announce another 88 World War II Veterans were able to visit the National WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. as part of HFHTVA Trip #6 on Saturday, October 22, 2011.  Our four chartered buses once again departed from Williamsburg (two buses) and Richmond (two buses) and spent the day touring some of the sites in our Nation's capital.  It would have been nice to see a little more of the sun to help warm things up a bit, but it didn't rain so we're not going to complain too much.

For HFHTVA Trip #6 participants, the Richmond Social will be at Brookdale Senior Living-Imperial Plaza on Saturday, November 19, 2011, from 1400-1600 in the Virginia Room (same room as the departure ceremony).  The Peninsula Social will be at Embassy Suites-Hampton Coliseum on Sunday, November 20, 2011 from 1400-1600 in the main banquet room.

HFHTVA would like to thank all of the businesses and individuals who provided either in-kind or monetary donations to support our program - these trips are not possible without your extremely generous contributions. Again, thank you to all for helping us make this such a wonderful experience for our World War II Veterans!

Would you like to travel or participate on a future HFHTVA trip?  For those World War II and terminally ill veterans that have not yet participated in one of our Honor Flights, we hope you will consider applying by completing and sending in your signed application by either fax or mail. Veteran applications are available for download from the "Veterans Applications" page of this website (CLICK HERE).  Guardian applications to escort the veterans on the trip are available for download from the "Guardian Applications" page of this website (CLICK HERE).  Don't wait ... We cut off when the buses are full.

Please continue to keep track of our website for updates regarding future Honor Flight trips and activities.
